assembling fun






























made this brooch last week.
the last time i made one was almost a year ago!
time really flies!!


each layer of the flower is individually cut, hand pressed to create the curls
followed by assembling of the flower layer by layer.
it took quite a bit of time from making of each flower to completion of the brooch.
but i enjoy the process a lot.


i am still playing around with the type of fabrics and stamen.
so far, i am most satisfied with light linen for the flower and tiny dried flowers for the stamen.
