finally

i have been wanting to making something that is flowery and delicate, with a touch of that worn out look.
last night, finally got the time to sit down at my work desk properly....
i made three brooches and this is the first one.

i used a couple of velvet flowers, a handful of very delicate flowers made with silk and organza; made some ruffles with grunged silk ribbons; added two pieces of vintage faux rhinestones (both of which i was reluctant to use..... haha) and added a piece of vintage lace as the final touch.

the brooch is quite small and delicate but i think it should look good on scarves, sweater....

talking about my work desk at home.... it is a mess.
it has been a mess as i didn't have time to clean it up since the last craft fair @ cyberport in october....
imagine all the cutters, scissors, beads, ribbons, wire, chains, pieces of cloth and lace lying on the table for months....

i think i need to seriously clean up the desk before i continue with making stuff....
it's really difficult to find the things i need in a pile of mess...
