fond memories don't fade

finally managed to pick up the Book from the book store.
as i turned over the hard cover, there goes my favorite and most memorable flowery pattern....
all the memories of my school days surface again....

... i love this flowery pattern....
the pattern of the blouse as part of the school uniform.

throughout spring and summer, i would wait and wait for fall and winter to come...
as it was only during the cold season that the school uniform came in two pieces, this flowery blouse and a pullover dress....

and when the weather started to turn warm, i remember insisting that i felt cold.... so that i would be allowed to wear this blouse just a little longer.....

... i think this must be where my fondness of flowery pattern begun!

the Book is a beauty
and not to mention the content, the words, the invaluable pictures, the memories....

as i come upon the page about our school song,
i thought i wouldn't be able to sing it...

but no,
to my surprise,
after all these years,
i was still able to sing it...

and as i did, some warm feelings i feel.....
pictures of the hallway, the auditorium, the classrooms, my fellow classmates, the tuck shop, the covered playground, recess time, the extra-curricular activites, the art room, the heavy text books, the english class, math class, cooking class, sewing class, the science teacher who couldn't pronounce my name for the longest time.... come back to me one by one.....
how i miss those old good times....

then i come upon this page, a picture of the path leading to our primary school.
this is where i spent my time waiting to be picked up after school every day....
where me and other girls, while waiting, would chit chat and play games (like the *jumping over the elastic rope*)....

ah-ha!!!
i did wonder whether the Book would mention this tree,
and it did!!!

the infamous GHOST TREE!
there are so many scary stories about this tree...
like it is actually a witch and that the evidence is the *rubber nose* found on the tree trunk...
like once someone was hanged to the tree.....
like if you look up, you will see a shadow of a woman in the tower next to the tree....
back then, we would dare each other to walk up to the tree.... and dare who would dare to touch it!

it's amazing how the tree hasn't changed a bit....
when the world around it has changed so much....
including myself...

..... during primary school,
the penmanship class was my favorite...
i enjoyed tracing the dotted lines....
doing the curves of the letter *Q*, *S*, *M*....

.... the corridor....
running along it,
rushing from one class room to another...
daydreaming during class, gazing through the windows to the corridor and to the courtyard.....
once, i was actually being punished and was made standing in the corridor for almost the entire class... hahaha...

.... one of the gates...
separating us and the world outside....

... every corner of our school is a beauty in itself...

how i miss those school days....
i am grateful to our school, the teachers....
for they form part of my life, my past;
for they have played a role in forming ME, the person i am today;
for the knowledge, the values;
and most importantly,
for giving me all the friendship,
all these friends who are long-life friends....

hehehe... i think the real reason for me liking the class perhaps is because i am a lazy person deep down... no need to think, just trace trace trace.... lol
