*vintage* looking belts

this always happen to me.
whenever i set off buying things i need,
i always end up picking up more things than i really need or originally planned for.

this happened to me again on saturday.
all i really needed to get was a roll of black thread from the craft store which should only take around 5 mins max.
but i ended up spending almost 45 mins in the shop....  cos i spotted some really nice things here and there...

amongst the nice things i saw were some vintage looking buckles (i think some of them are *real* vintage... cos there are layers of dust over them....)

i couldn't decide on which ones to get so i ended up getting quite a number of them!
and to make belts with these buckles, i decided to get some velvet ribbons....  and for sewing, i would need matching color threads....  you can see how the shopping list grew by itself....

so far, i have made two belts with the buckles i got:

i still have four more of these buckles...
maybe i can try making bags with them?
